BUbble is a place for students to talk to someone new without the pressure of a profile, a follower count or a permanent record. You get matched with another student for a one-on-one chat, and you can end it whenever you like. There is also a public forum where students share thoughts, polls and announcements.
It is made for casual, respectful conversation: studying, venting, making friends and killing time between classes. It is not a dating app or a marketplace.
Starting college can be lonely, and most social apps reward people who are already outgoing. We wanted a lower-pressure way for students to practice talking to new people, find others from their campus or nearby ones, and feel less alone. BUbble comes from the creators of TikTalk, and it grows with feedback from the students who use it.
Anonymous does not mean unaccountable. Signing in helps keep spam, bots and harassment out. Other users never see your Google account. Every report is reviewed by a real person, and serious violations lead to bans. Chats are held in server memory only while the room is active, and forum posts are deleted automatically after about 24 hours.
You can read the full rules in our Community Guidelines, how we handle data in our Privacy page, and a plain-language overview in our guide on how BUbble moderation works.
Alongside the chat, we publish free guides on chatting safely online, starting conversations, making friends in college and coping with homesickness. You can find them in the Guides section.
BUbble is free to use. Running servers costs money, so the site is supported by voluntary donations and by advertising, which may include Google AdSense. Ads are placed on content pages and never inside your private chats. Details about cookies and ad providers are in our Privacy page.
